Juan Alderete.
This guy should school us all on how to use pedals and effects. He is known for running a website here and for playing bass with The Mars Volta for a bunch of years.
I met Juan (along with the dashing and dangerous Jonathan Hischke) at NAMM a few years ago. After a very long afternoon of blues lawyers and guitar tapping experts turining their noses up at our artwork (never mind the sounds, if they happened to hear by accident) Juan and Jonathan arrived, and were IMMEDIATELY enthusiastic, and clearly talented, and seemingly without ego?!?!??
From then on we've remained in contact, and we may be... ok, yes, we are working on a pedal conceived by Mr. Alderete. It's going to sound like this: "Bowwwwwmmmmm."
Juan has lots of our pedals and has featured a few of them in the FUZZ WARS.
He has played with Deltron 3030, The Mars Volta, Racer X, Big Sur, Vato Negro, and, most recently, Zavalaz with Cedric Bixler-Zavala.
