FAQ

1. I work at a store and we want to carry your pedals. Awesome! Email us at Dwarfcraftdevices@gmail.com
2. Do you do custom work?  Not really.
3. Can I have free stuff?  Probably not.
4. Do you accept returns? Unfortunately, no. Buy from one of our amazing retail partners if you are unsure. We do not accept returns on our products.
5. Do your pedals work with bass? Yes, all of them.
6. Do you still make Devi Ever FX stuff? Nope.
7. My pedal is noisy. Is it broken? Probably not. Check your power supply and cables first. Usually it is the PSU that is the problem (especially with high gain pedals and those that require a lot of power to run). If that doesn't fix it, check out our repair info (below) for more tips and tricks to reduce noise. You should also check to make sure your jacks are tight against the enclosure, since they are grounded through the metal box. Some circuits (Wizard and Silver Rose, mostly) are just noisy.
8. I really think my pedal needs to be repaired. See below for repair info. We are happy to fix actually broken pedals, but a large percentage of the repairs we get back are A-Ok.
9. My Memento doesn't cut the signal all the way. Is it broken?  Probably not. There are some HUGE signals that it won't cut all the way (usually synths). It also doesn't play nicely with buffers, so place it early in your chain.
10. My Great Destroyer is too crazy. I think it is broken.  It is almost certainly not broken. It is a very loud pedal that is designed to scream, oscillate, and be chaotic. Everything that touches this pedal will effect they way it sounds, from the electrical wiring in the room, to your pickups and tone/volume controls. You may not get the same sound twice. That is the nature of the beast.
11. My ARF is screaming at me. What do I do? Turn down the Rez knob.
12. I can hear a slight click on my Twin Stags. Can you fix it? Nope. The noise comes from the internal clocks and we can't eliminate it, but the volume of the click depends somewhat on the settings, so dial it back a bit and see what happens.
13. My Happiness pedal is self-oscillating. Is it broken? Probably not. Turn the filter settings (especially the Rez and Freq) down.
14. Actually, you know what? If any of our pedals (except The Great Destroyer) are doing something weird/loud/crazy and you aren't sure it should be doing it, turn all the knobs down. Starting with the volume, turn them up slowly, one at a time to see what happens. Usually, you'll figure out what control is causing the chaos pretty easily. You can also refer to our manuals and demo videos for what each pedal is supposed to do. The Great Destroyer just needs to be opposite. Turn all the knobs, except the volume, all the way up and then slowly bring the volume up. It should be close to a normal fuzz in that setting. Then mess with each knob to see what they do.
15. What order should I put my pedals in?  It turns out, we wrote a whole article for Premier Guitar on that subject. Check it out HERE.
16. Do  you do shop tours? Sometimes. Email us.
17. Are you hiring? Not usually. You can always send us your cover letter and resume, though.
18. But I want to learn to build pedals! Then buy some kits, join some of the amazing DIY forums on the internet, and practice like crazy, like we did.
19. How do you ship direct orders? For most domestic orders, we ship via USPS Priority. If you want signature confirmation or any other shipping service, please reach out before you order.
20. Do you ship internationally? Yes, we do. International shipping rates will apply. Most orders go out via USPS First Class, which offers no tracking. If you want tracking, please choose the USPS Priority Int'l Shipping option at check out. Please note that we will always list the full value on the customs forms. We are not responsible for what your local customs office does with the pedal or what kind of fees they charge you. Each country is a little different, so check with your local post office to get the details.

REPAIR INFO

1. Check your cables, please.
2. Test the pedal by itself with nothing else in the chain or connected to the power supply. Test it with other guitars/instruments. A lot of times, we will get pedals back and cannot recreate the issue, which means we can’t fix it.
3. Have you read the manual and watched the demo videos we provide? Make sure your in/out cables are in the right in/out jacks (right to left always). Make sure you have the power required. If a pedal is underpowered, it might do some, but not all, of the correct things. Try out some of the settings we provide in the demos/manuals - do they work? If the Happiness is squealing, try turning down the Rez knob. If your Destroyer is going crazy with oscillation/noise, have you tried to turn the Gain, Tone, and Starve knobs all the way clockwise and the volume pretty low? That usually works like a charm. If you are unsure of a setting or behavior, email us!
4. We have a limited lifetime warranty (see below) because we appreciate our customers forever. Email us and tell us what you have tried so far and we will get your pedal up and running again.  We might ask you for a short video detailing the issue, so get your riffs ready. dwarfcraftdevices@gmail.com
5. You must also include a short note with your return address and the issues you are experiencing. If that is not included, the repair will be delayed. Most of the time, repairs take 1-2 weeks to finish.

WARRANTY

Dwarfcraft is happy to offer a limited lifetime warranty on all of our products. Any manufacturing defects or faulty components will be taken care of at no charge to the customer, excluding the cost of shipping. Dwarfcraft Devices reserves the right to update any unit returned for repair and to change or improve the design of the product at any time without notice. Dwarfcraft Devices decisions on repairs and affiliated charges are WRITTEN IN STONE.  We will also repair pedals that fall outside of the warranty (think burned out chips due to the wrong power source), but we will charge you a bit for parts and labor (minimum $20 bench fee), and you will be responsible for all shipping costs.
What would a warranty be without a few caveats? So here they are:
1. Customers must contact us before they send a pedal in for repair. A quick email can often resolve the problem without sending the pedal in.  dwarfcraftdevices@gmail.com
2. Your warranty is void if you allow someone other than Dwarfcraft Devices to mess with the guts of your pedal.
3. Your warranty is void if you use the wrong power supply. Only use 9VDC 2.1mm center negative tip regulated adapter that is made to power effects pedals.
4. Your warranty does not cover damage from physical abuse.
5. The warranty does not cover the enclosure or knobs. If you have questions about replacing those items, email us for details and cost.

Email us for questions not covered above.
